10 EFIM Day

The 10th EFIM Day took place on Friday, 17 October 2025, marking a decade of EFIM Days gathering EFIM national societies leadership, representatives, and invited guests.
We had the pleasure to celebrate 10 years of sharing knowledge and European insight with participants presenting 25 EFIM national societies members at the Crown Plaza Brussels Airport hotel.
The 10th EFIM Day opened with a presentation by Prof. George Dalekos, EFIM President, who provided a comprehensive overview of EFIM’s activities and achievements since March 2025 following the congress in Florence.

ESIM Winter 2026 - Bari Italy

EFIM is delighted to announce that the ESIM 2026 Winter School will take place in Bari, Italy, from 15 – 21 February 2026.
This edition will be held under the leadership of Prof. Francesco Dentali and organised by FADOI Italy, who will be hosting the ESIM Winter School for the very first time.

The ESIM Winter School offers a unique educational experience for young internists from across Europe, combining high-level scientific sessions, case-based discussions, and interactive workshops in an atmosphere that encourages professional exchange and international networking.

What is internal medicine?

The specialty of internal medicine covers a wide range of conditions affecting the internal organs of the body. Although some diseases specifically affect individual organs, the majority of common diseases. The internist must then be trained to recognise and manage a broad range of diseases and, with the aging population, many patients with chronic and multiple disorders.
