The aim of the working group is to promote the study of multimorbidity (MM) in Europe and to imagine build common European strategies to improve the knowledge and the management of patients with multiple chronic diseases from a holistic point of view. Further goals of the working group would be to gather data on Multimorbidity in European Internal Medicine departments, to gain and share scientific knowledge about Multimorbidity, increase the awareness on Multimorbidity among Internists across Europe etc.

The Multimorbidity Working Group is using the International Center for Multimorbidity and Complexity for resources and information on multimorbidity.
The Multimorbidity Working Group ran a survey to explore the feelings and knowledge about multimorbidity of internal medicine physicians from EFIM member societies.
