Sleep apnea and obesity problems are two health concerns that are commonly seen together [1]. Both are increasing trends in the general population worldwide, and when associated, both are capable of also elevate risk of different comorbidities of diverse nature. Alterations in both systems must be assessed with care. The possibility of shared pathways that help worsen sleep apnea and obesity symptoms might provide some interesting leads to better understand the way in which both health problems are connected.
