Dear Friends,

As we approach the holiday season and reflect on the past year, I would like to express my gratitude to all our member societies for their dedication, enthusiasm and support. This has been another successful year for EFIM, highlighted by the European Congress of Internal Medicine in Milan and the continuing growth of the European Journal of Internal Medicine. Furthermore, the increasing contribution of the member societies to our projects, through active participation in our working groups, has been particularly rewarding. I firmly believe that our efforts will eventually lead to a stronger position for internal medicine in Europe and worldwide.
Warm wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous 2018!

On behalf of the EFIM Executive Committee,

Prof. Runolfur Palsson,
EFIM President
