Dear Members of EFIM community,

In this summer newsletter, I will be reflecting at greater length on the events of the past few months across the world and the EFIM activities. At EFIM office we’ve been busy organising several webinars and live discussions with our community, we organized joined session with ACP and many teleconferences. EFIM Executive committee members continued working with the COVID19 patients while managing and coordinating EFIM activities. We organized several Webinars, and posted our knowledge online, shared it via our social media trying to unite the internal medicine community in Europe. EFIM is currently busy finalizing the scientific programme for the next ECIM 2021. As for the format of the congress we are constantly following the new digital formats and hoping that we can all meet face to face in Malaga.

As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic, we announced that the General Assembly will be held this year virtually. We will be meeting our community’s needs and expectations in these challenging times and we will offer the same programme as always, including updates on EFIM activities and new project developments.

We are looking forward to talking to you virtually and we thank you for your continued support.

I wish you, your families, and colleagues good health and great summer holidays.

Prof. Nicola Montano
