Dear Colleagues and Friends, Internists from all around the world,

Please allow me to cordially welcome you to Prague on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Prague European Days of Internal Medicine (PEDIM) Conference. Two years ago we organized the first PEDIM. Because the conference was appreciated by many participants and evaluated as quite successful, we decided to prepare the new one. This year we will focus on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. However, we do not want to overlook any real big news from internal medicine. Therefore we are preparing the new sessions “top stories” or news from intensive care.
