A pulmonary perspective on current challenges in connective tissue diseases

Connective tissue diseases (CTD) are systemic diseases and as such can affect any organ. Why then should we focus on the lungs in particular, now more than ever? And why do we need a review on pulmonary manifestations of connective tissue disease in the European Journal for Internal Medicine [1]?
