EFIM Summer Newsletter 2024

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As we embrace the summer season, I would like to update you on the significant efforts we have made with the progress of the scientific programme for the upcoming (ECIM) 2025, scheduled to take place in the beautiful city of Florence from 5 - 8 March. Following the meeting of the Scientific Programme Committee Members in June the preparations for our congress are well underway, and I am excited about the innovative sessions and collaborative opportunities that will be presented in Florence.

Meanwhile I am pleased to announce that both registrations and abstract submissions for ECIM 2025 are now open! This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with peers, share your research, and contribute to the European Congress of Internal Medicine, ECIM.

Another important meeting held this summer was the EFIM Working Groups Chairs Meeting held in Brussels on 19 June. This meeting involved lively discussions that initiated new ideas and strengthened the collaboration between EFIM Working Groups. The enthusiasm from the Chairs were truly inspiring, and I am confident this will lead to significant contributions for EFIM in the future.

In addition to our congress preparations, we are also looking forward to the organisation of the 9th EFIM Day, which will be held in Brussels on 18 October. The 9th EFIM Day will focus on the theme of education, a cornerstone of our mission at EFIM. EFIM Day will feature a lecture from the President of UEMS, additionally, it will provide a platform for the Presidents of EFIM national societies to share their perspectives and exchange experiences on education in their countries.

Finally, I am delighted to share that EFIM has officially moved to our new office, EFIM Home during the month of June located in Zaventem, Belgium. This new space marks an exciting chapter for our federation, providing a dedicated environment for our continued growth and collaboration.
