Dear Colleagues and Friends,
As we approach the summer, I am pleased to share with you some of the latest EFIM activities and developments. I encourage you to read our EFIM Annual Report 2025, which highlights the key achievements, initiatives and activities over the past year and the continued commitment of our national societies’ members and partners.
We are also looking forward to the 31st European Congress of Internal Medicine, ECIM 2027, taking place in Paris from 31 March to 3 April 2027, under the theme “Integrating Evidence-Based and Personalised Medicine".
Preparations are progressing very well, and our Executive Committee members have been working closely with the French Society Board to develop an exciting scientific programme. Registration and abstract submission are now open, and we warmly encourage you to participate and share this opportunity with your colleagues.
Our annual Working Group Chairs Meeting in June was another excellent opportunity to work together on new programmes, initiatives and collaborations across our Working Groups. Furthermore, we celebrated another successful edition of the ESIM Summer School in Alexandropoulos in June under the leadership of Prof. Skendros and the Hellenic Society of Internal Medicine, supporting education and networking among the next generation of Internal Medicine physicians.
Looking ahead, we are preparing for the 11th EFIM Day on 16 October in Brussels, featuring two excellent speakers bringing important European perspectives, including the European Health Data Space and the EU Curriculum in Internal Medicine.
There is much to look forward to in the coming months!

The Summer ESIM 2026 in Alexandroupolis under the leadership if Prof. Skendros and the Hellenic Society of Internal Medicine was another great success, and we are delighted to share some of the highlights with you.
