We are pleased to announce the launch of the 21st FDIME and EFIM Clinical Research Seminar. The sponsorship for this seminar is provided by the Foundation for the Development of Internal Medicine in Europe (FDIME). Thanks to this support, we are able to offer up to 15 bursaries to Young Internists from EFIM member countries who wish to strengthen their career skills in Clinical Research. The bursaries cover three nights of hotel accommodation and economy‑class travel to Paris, up to a maximum of €500. Selected residents will be responsible for booking their own economy‑class travel to Paris. Travel costs will be reimbursed after attendance at the seminar. Hotel arrangements will be handled directly by FDIME.

Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for a place at this seminar for Young Internists, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Maximum age 35, and membership in a National Society of Internal Medicine affiliated with EFIM. Supporting letters from the applicant’s supervisor and from a member of the National Society board are mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of clinical research methodology and biostatistics.
- Ability to communicate in English, as all lectures and discussions will be conducted in English.
- Near completion of training in Internal Medicine.
- Current or previous experience in Clinical Research.
Applicants must also submit a Motivational Statement and a brief proposal for a new Clinical Research Project (title and short description). We recommend preparing these texts before starting the online application. A CV must also be uploaded. Please ensure it is up to date and includes references for any publications where you are listed as author or co‑author.

The Seminar Selection Committee will review all applications. Successful applicants will be notified at the beginning of September 2026.
Selected participants will be asked to prepare a short presentation (in English) showcasing a clinical research project they are currently conducting or have recently completed. This will be a 5‑minute slide presentation delivered to the group.
