Interaction between continuous-flow left ventricular assist device (CF-LVAD) and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) is a debated issue. Inappropriate therapy due to ICD and CF-LVAD interferences has been reported, and evidence of the safety and efficacy of the newest subcutaneous ICD (s-ICD) in the CF-LVAD population is lacking in the literature. Recently, Pfeffer et al. [1] described inappropriate (s-ICD) shocks because of changes in R wave morphology and amplitude after HeartMate 3 implantation.
