A new symptom of heart failure (HF) has been described in recent years, that is being called bendopnea [1]. This type of dyspnea is experienced while bending forward when putting on shoes or tying them up within the first 30 s. It is secondary to an increase in cardiac filling pressures [1]. In addition to being very prevalent in these patients (between 28 and 48.8%), it is a short term predictor of readmission in stable HF and mortality in decompensated HF [2,3]. On the other hand, this symptom has recently been described in the general population without HF (6.7%) [4].
