Cardiovascular disease (CVD) in systemic autoimmune disorders often goes unnoticed until a clinical event occurs. Given the lack of disease-specific prediction scores, the CVD risk stratification should be performed with the generic risk tools designed for the general population [1]. Accordingly, the management of cardiovascular risk factors (CVRFs) should follow recommendations used in the general population [1].
