Hypervitaminemia B12 has been associated or linked with a range of conditions, the majority of which are serious, with a systematic inquiry being decisive for prognosis [1–3]. But in practice, physicians often do not know what to do. There are currently a few studies which fulfilled the criteria of evidence based-medicine exploring this theme. This letter reports preliminary results of such a study in a well-documented population of elderly patients.
