Pulmonary embolism (PE) is the third leading cause of cardiovascular mortality and a significant global health issue [1]. The simplified Pulmonary Embolism Severity Index (sPESI) is a practical tool to identify PE patients at low risk of 30-day mortality, based on the following variables: age >80 years, active cancer, chronic cardiac or pulmonary disease, heart rate >110 bpm, systolic blood pressure (SBP) <100 mmHg, and oxygen saturation <90 % [2]. Electrocardiogram (ECG), a widely available non-invasive test, plays a crucial role in cardiovascular disease management [3].
