Isolated diastolic hypertension (IDH) is a subtype of hypertension that is relatively uncommon, accounting for less than 20% of all hypertension cases [1]. It is highly prevalent in the young and middle-aged population, but less so in older adults [2]. Extensive research has shown that IDH increased the risk of heart failure, stroke, and other cardiovascular diseases [3–7], making it an important consideration for patients with cardiovascular disease. Therefore, it cannot be ignored in clinical practice.
