The impact of air pollution on cardiovascular diseases has been a subject of extensive research, with compelling evidence linking long-term exposure to pollutants such as particulate matter (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and black carbon (BC) to adverse cardiovascular outcomes [1,2]. Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a growing global health concern due to its association with significant morbidity and increased risk of cardiovascular events [3].
