Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is primarily a respiratory condition characterized by irreversible airflow limitation and multiple debilitating symptoms, including dyspnea, cough, and sputum production [1,2]. It is the third leading cause of morbidity and mortality globally, constituting a significant public health challenge and placing a considerable burden on individuals and healthcare systems worldwide [1,2].
