Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the synovium of the joints, leading to joint destruction and bone damage. It affects 0, 5–1 % of the general population, primarily women, 3/1 compared to men, and all ages [1,2]. It is associated with extra-articular manifestations (EAM), like serositis, skin, eye manifestations and others [3]. The disease's pathophysiology may be attributed to genetic predisposition and environmental factors, which activate innate and adaptive immune responses.
