EFIM Exchange Porgramme 2026 is open!

We are more than pleased to inform you that EFIM Exchange programme is open for 2026 applications.
Each society may send one application per country. The top 10 applicants will be selected by the EFIM Executive Committee to be supported with 1000 EUR bursary given by EFIM and FDIME.
The rest of the applicants are more than welcome to participate in the Exchange programme with the support of the national society.

Deadline to submit the applications is 22 February 2026. 

ESIM Summer 2026

We are pleased to announce the European Summer School of Internal Medicine (ESIM) 2026!

Following the great success of the previous ESIM Summer School, we are pleased to announce that ESIM Summer 2026 will take place from 31 May to 6 June 2026 at the Astir Egnatia Hotel and the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis, in the beautiful coastal city of Alexandroupolis, Greece.

This will be the second edition of the ESIM Summer School organised by the Hellenic Society of Internal Medicine, under the leadership of Prof. Panagiotis Skendros.

FDIME ANNOUNCES A Grant for Research on AI use in Internal Medicine

The Foundation for the Development of Internal Medicine in Europe (FDIME) announces the of a new grant for EFIM Young Internists. 

The funding is intended for research projects dedicated to AI applications in Internal Medicine.

A 10,000 Euros grant will be awarded.
Young internists (up to the age of 40 years) from EFIM member countries are the target audience. 
The eligibility criteria must be met as stated in the Announcements.

Applicants are required to submit their own Research Project proposal.

FDIME ANNOUNCES ‘INTERNAL MEDICINE RESEARCH GRANTS’ in 2025

FDIME Announces Research Grants in 2025

The Foundation for the Development of Internal Medicine in Europe (FDIME) is offering Research Grants to Young Internists (up to age 38 yrs) to study in Research projects including all fields of General Internal Medicine, particularly polymorbidity and other common Internal Medicine conditions.

Up to 17,500 Euros is available, to be awarded for a maximum study period of 1 year.

ESIM Winter 2025

Dear EFIM Members,

We are pleased to announce that the Swedish Society of Internal Medicine will be hosting the13th Winter School of the European School of Internal Medicine, in February from 9th– 15th 2025 in Björkliden, Sweden.

It will be the final edition for the Swedish Society hosting the winter School in Björkliden, Sweden, and as every year it will offer very active educational programme, bringing together residents from across Europe to advance knowledge, share best practices, and foster connections.
