We are more than pleased to inform you that EFIM Exchange programme is open for 2024 applications.
Each society may send one application per country. The top 10 applicants will be selected by the EFIM Executive Committee to be supported with 1000 EUR bursary given by EFIM and FDIME.
The rest of the applicants are more than welcome to participate in the Exchange programme with the support of the national society.

Deadline to submit the applications is 31 January 2024.

We are pleased to announce that we have opened the call for the host selection of the ESIM 2025 - 2026/27 summer school.
National Societies wishing to host ESIM should submit their application to EFIM Secretariat on info@efim.org  or aneta.trajkovska@efim.org that should include the following essential information:

Research projects including all fields of General Internal Medicine, particularly polymorbidity and other common Interna Medicine conditions.

The Foundation for the Development of Internal Medicine in Europe (FDIME) is offering Research Grants to Young Internists (up to age 38 yrs) to study in Research projects including all fields of General Internal Medicine, particularly polymorbidity and other common Internal Medicine conditions.
FDIME invites applications for Research Grant (up to 17,500 Euros) with an aim to promote research and to encourage exchanges within EFIM member countries.

EFIM condemns the attack on Ukraine.

We deplore the human casualties and ask to cease immediately the hostilities.

As physicians, we will never consider war as an option. War cannot be the response to any kind of action, as it generates only other suffering.

We would like to express our closeness to the Ukrainian colleagues who are experiencing the frustration and fear for the difficulties in taking care of their patients. 

We regret to inform you that due to the current pandemic situation we have decided to postpone the Winter school of 2022 to 2023!

We are pleased to announce that the Winter School of Internal Medicine 2022 will take place in Björkliden, Lappland, in northen Sweden from 14 - 18 February under the leadership of ESIM Director Dr. Jan Bergman.
The Winter school of 2022 will be organised by the Swedish Society of Internal Medicine (SIM).

Considering the current situation with the Covid-19 and the travel ban in Europe it has been decided to postpone the European Summer School of Internal Medicine, ESIM Summer 2021 to June 2022.

The school organisers together with the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine are working on confirming the new dates in June 2022.
