EFIM Exchange programme is open

We are delighted to announce that applications for the EFIM Exchange Programme 2025 are now open!

Each national society may submit one application per country. The EFIM Executive Committee and FDIME will select the top 10 applicants, who will each receive a €1,000 bursary generously provided by EFIM and FDIME.
Other applicants are warmly encouraged to participate in the programme with support from their respective national societies.

The EFIM Heart Failure Working Group is delighted to invite you to the upcoming webinar on "The Challenge of Congestion in Heart Failure", taking place on Tuesday, 19 December 2023, at 6:00 PM CET.

We are honored to have two distinguished speakers:

Dr. Jesús Casado (Spain) from the University Hospital of Getafe and
Dr. Wilfried Mullens (Belgium) from the Department of Cardiology at the East Limburg Hospital in Genk

addressing the topics on Physical examinations, biomarkers, and imaging and the Tackling with refractor congestion and diuretic resistance.

ESIM Winter 2025

Dear EFIM Members,

We are pleased to announce that the Swedish Society of Internal Medicine will be hosting the13th Winter School of the European School of Internal Medicine, in February from 9th– 15th 2025 in Björkliden, Sweden.

It will be the final edition for the Swedish Society hosting the winter School in Björkliden, Sweden, and as every year it will offer very active educational programme, bringing together residents from across Europe to advance knowledge, share best practices, and foster connections.

Abstract Book 2024 is coming - sign up to the EJCRIM free alert service

The team of the European Case Reports Journal in Internal Medicine, EJCRIM is in process of preparing the Book of Abstracts from the 22nd European Congress of Internal Medicine (Istanbul, 6–9 March).
The abstract book will be published on the EJCRIM website in the coming weeks!

Prof. Werner Bauer EFIM President (2008 - 2010) passed away on 27 January

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Prof. Werner Bauer, key figure in the history and development of (EFIM). Prof. Bauer served as EFIM President from 2008 to 2010 and played an instrumental role in shaping the Federation into what it is today.
Prof. Bauer was actively involved with the European Board of Internal Medicine and worked on launching the European Curriculum in Internal Medicine and actively served EFIM Executive Committee between 2006 - 2012.

EFIM Exchange Porgramme 2024 is open!

We are more than pleased to inform you that EFIM Exchange programme is open for 2024 applications.
Each society may send one application per country. The top 10 applicants will be selected by the EFIM Executive Committee to be supported with 1000 EUR bursary given by EFIM and FDIME.
The rest of the applicants are more than welcome to participate in the Exchange programme with the support of the national society.

Deadline to submit the applications is 31 January 2024.
