Having read the article of Satolli that mentions the transport from Sierra Leone to Italy of an Italian patient infected with Ebola [1], we find it useful to emphasize the value of preparedness — including logistics, training, capabilities, procedures and field experience — in the area of aeromedical evacuation in biocontainment conditions.
