A previously healthy 56-year-old woman presented with a 2-week history of painful erythematous-to-violaceous firm subcutaneous nodules involving the anterior and posterior aspects of both legs, with subsequent appearance of lesions on the thighs (Fig. 1A-B). She also reported evening fever up to 38.5 °C and night sweats during the same period. In addition, she described bilateral ankle pain and swelling.
