In this issue of the European Journal of Internal Medicine a narrative review on hypertriglyceridemia-mediated acute pancreatitis (HTG-AP) is published by Subramanian et al. [1]. This well written article covers a broad overview discussing prevention, pathophysiology and treatment. One of the advantages of this narrative review, is that is allows the authors, who are clearly experts in their fields, to provide us not only evidence based knowledge but also expert opinion with regards to patient management.
