We read with great interest the AMBI-RA study by Bertola et al. [1], which examined changes in b/tsDMARD prescribing and short-term treatment outcomes after regulatory restrictions on Janus kinase inhibitors (JAKi) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The study offers useful real-world evidence on how safety communications may influence therapeutic choices. However, we believe the findings warrant a more cautious interpretation than that proposed by the authors.
