A 21-year-old patient presented with intermittent episodes of myalgia, arthralgia, and bone pain in the extremities and spine, triggered by physical exertion and dating back 9 years. The patient had a history of Perthes disease in childhood. Physical examination revealed tenderness upon palpation of the paravertebral muscles, arms, and thighs, with no deformities. Laboratory analysis upon admission showed microcytosis and hypochromia, an elevated red blood cell count, mild anisocytosis and associated leukocytosis.
