Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a heterogeneous disorder in which conventional apnea-hypopnea index (AHI)-based severity classification incompletely captures respiratory burden, nocturnal hypoxemia, obesity, and multimorbidity. Whether OSA severity is organized along distinct respiratory and multimorbidity-related dimensions remains unclear.
