Hyponatremia affects between 10% and 30% of hospitalized patients, making it by far the most common electrolyte disorder in clinical practice. Symptoms vary but often include confusion, nausea, and balance disturbances that increase the risk of falls [1]. Hyponatremia is also associated with increased mortality [2].
