Frailty is a state of heightened vulnerability arising from multisystem decline, in which minor stressors can precipitate disproportionate deterioration in function and health. It predicts falls, hospitalization, disability, and mortality beyond chronological age [1]. Clinically, frailty is most often assessed using two complementary models: the Frailty Phenotype (FP), defined by weight loss, exhaustion, weakness, slowness, and low activity, and the Frailty Index (FI), which quantifies accumulated health deficits across multiple systems [2,3].
