We read with great interest the recent article by Rigatelli et al. in the European Journal of Internal Medicine, describing the development and validation of the CRISP-PFO score for optimizing patient selection for patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure after cryptogenic stroke [1]. The authors should be commended for proposing a pragmatic, imaging-integrated tool aimed at improving secondary prevention strategies in this complex clinical setting.
