The regulations of medical and recreational cannabis are constantly changing in recent years, both in United States and in many other countries around the world [1]. As a consequence of the changing laws and public opinion, the prevalence of cannabis use is in a steady rise, both in adolescents and young adults, and in older adults [2–5]. The potency of recreational cannabis is also on the rise, reflected by increase in the concentration of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) and increase in the Δ9-THC/cannabidiol (CBD) ratio [6].
