Fibromyalgia is a common disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, stiffness, paresthesia and proneness to fatigue. The prevalence has been reported to be 3.4 percent in women and 0.5 percent in men, increasing with age to 7.4 percent in women between the ages of 70 and 79years [1].
