We read with interest the recent paper, “Chagas disease in Europe: A review for the internist in the globalized world”, published in your journal. Antinori and colleagues masterfully review Chagas disease to present a vision of the disease's epidemiology in Europe and in particular the aspects related to blood-derived and congenital transmission, clinical forms and their reactivation in immunocompromised patients, diagnostic aspects, management, and treatment [1].
