Dear Members and Colleagues,

As we approach the end of another eventful year in EFIM, I am delighted to share with you the latest developments and initiatives we achieved in the past year and the year to come.
The European Congress of Internal Medicine (ECIM) 2024 promises to be a hallmark event, where experts, researchers, and practitioners from Europe and broader will meet to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and foster collaborations. I am pleased to announce the initiation of our new EFIM Clinical Working Groups in four important area of internal medicine. These groups will serve as dynamic forums for specialists and professionals to explore into specific areas of interest within internal medicine, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and research. We encourage all our national societies members to engage actively in these groups and to propose experts who will be actively involved in these very important issues.
Additionally, the 2nd edition of the EFIM Winter School in Sweden, ESIM 2024,  is coming up as one of EFIM’s important educational initiative. EFIM winter school promises an enriching experience for young physicians, offering comprehensive learning opportunities, and networking opportunities to empower the next generation of internal medicine leaders.
Finally, as the year draws to a close, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our National societies, Presidents and Board Members, Young Internists, EFIM Working Groups and partners, for your support and contributions to advancing the field of internal medicine. Your commitment have been instrumental in accomplishing EFIM's mission.
