Women with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are at higher risk of high grade cervical squamous intraepithelial lesions [1]. Inadequate immune response may impair the clearance of cervical human papillomavirus (HPV) resulting in a persistent infection that in turn increases the risk of cervical dysplasia. We aimed to identify risk factors for high-risk HPV (hrHPV) infection and clearance in a prospective cohort study.
