A 44-year-old female presented to the emergency department with fever (38 °C) and general malaise three days after an elective hysterectomy for bleeding uterine fibroids. The procedure was complicated by a vaginal hematoma and hemoperitoneum, both managed conservatively with supportive care and empiric amoxicillin-clavulanic acid.
