Medicine has expanded vastly. More people are diagnosed and treated for more diseases than ever, and there are more professionals working in the health services. More resources are allocated for the healthcare systems than ever before. Nonetheless, the gap between what is possible and what is feasible is widening. Additionally, modern medicine is accused of overdoing [1,2], being futile [3], wasteful [4,5], ineffective [6], and being more harmful than helpful [7–10]. As such, modern medicine is not sustainable [11].
