Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is the most frequent autoinflammatory disease, characterized by recurrent episodes of fever, abdominal pain, arthritis, and rash. It primarily affects people in the Mediterranean region [1]. FMF is a genetic disorder caused by variants in the MEFV gene (MEditerranean FeVer). Although traditionally considered an autosomal recessive condition, recent findings have demonstrated that it can also be inherited in a dominant manner, with heterozygous carriers presenting clinical symptoms [2].
