It is a great honour for me to address you for the first time as President of the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM), following the success of ECIM 2025 in Florence.
The congress was a tremendous success, bringing together more than 2,200 participants from across Europe and beyond. It was inspiring to see internists from all stages of their careers engaging in dynamic discussions, exchanging knowledge, and networking during our congress.

As we approach the end of the autumn,  I am delighted to share some important updates and exciting plans of EFIM in our Autumn Newsletter.

As we embrace the summer season, I would like to update you on the significant efforts we have made with the progress of the scientific programme for the upcoming (ECIM) 2025, scheduled to take place in the beautiful city of Florence from 5 - 8 March. Following the meeting of the Scientific Programme Committee Members in June the preparations for our congress are well underway, and I am excited about the innovative sessions and collaborative opportunities that will be presented in Florence.

Closing out the winter season, the Executive Committee, and EFIM Secretariat have been very busy finalising the congress programme for the 21st European Congress of Internal Medicine to take place in Athens. We have more than 1200 registrations received.
Please check the congress programme for more information and register now. We are expecting to welcome more than 1500 physicians in Athens.
